Our History
IRAZA was established during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. At the time, our founder, Luthando Nyameni, had lost his job and was forced to stay at home. As a creative person, he decided to come up with something that would put food on the table.

He sketched a sneaker, and after reading some business books from a friend, he got an idea of how to start a business from scratch. Since Luthando grew up in the rural areas of Bizana, he decided to start his business with the sneaker he drew. At first, he called the sneaker DALA, which means "do it" in his native language. However, he later found out that someone else was already using that name, so he decided to come up with another name: IRAZA.

IRAZA means "the diamond one" in the card game he used to play back home in Bizana. That's how IRAZA was established.
